Leading Italian nurseryman presented the latest developments in fresh produce varietal innovation at Fruitaly 2009, a demonstration event held by nursery association Centro Attività Vivaistiche, the Consorzio Agrario di Ravenna and irrigation technology firm Idrologica at the Persolino Agrarian Institute in Faenza on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August.
The event also gave exhibitors the opportunity to display the latest innovations in nursery and R&D technology, as well as irrigation methods.
'Fruit growing in the Romagna region and in particular the area around Faenza continues to play a leading and decisive role in the local economy and in creating jobs and wealth,' said a spokesperson for Fruitaly.
