Panier de Saison Prince de Bretagne

Brittany-based vegetable marketer Prince de Bretagne has revealed plans to heavily promote its brand-new Mon Panier de Saison product in 2010.

The new product, which has never before been available in supermarkets, consists of a 2.5kg box filled with standard seasonal vegetables, such as cauliflowers, broccoli, leeks, chicory and onions, depending of course on what is in season.

The aim, according to the company’s Eléonore Faucher is to give consumers an extra helping hand.

“With this product, people can be sure they are buying a seasonal product and don’t have to look all around the store,” Ms Faucher told Fruitnet.com. “People are currently looking to purchase seasonal products, but most people do not have the necessary knowledge to do so with ease, so we are helping them.”

Prince de Bretagne has launched the product in both conventional and organic, according to Ms Faucher.
