Syngenta Vegetable Seeds will host simultaneous field days in Woodland, California and Plainfield, Wisconsin on 11-13 August

Syngenta Vegetable Seeds has announced the return of its Future of Veg Events this summer, with simultaneous field days in Woodland, California and Plainfield, Wisconsin in the US.
The events, scheduled for 11-13 August, offer growers, processors, and channel partners an inside look at the latest advancements in vegetable variety development across key growing regions.
“The Future of Veg is more than just an event series; it’s a partnership opportunity,” said Rafael Pons, Syngenta Vegetable Seeds regional customer experience lead.
”We’ve designed these experiences to address the specific crops that matter most to you, our valued partners.
”Our Syngenta breeders and experts will be on hand to discuss how we can work together to meet your evolving needs,” Pons noted.
The group said that the Future of Veg series – now in its second year – brings Syngenta’s innovation pipeline directly to the growing regions where it matters most.
Visitors will walk alongside Syngenta breeders, pathologists, technical experts and sales representatives to see varieties performing in real-world conditions, ask questions, and provide feedback that shapes the products of tomorrow.
Beyond genetics, both events will showcase the full Syngenta ecosystem, including crop protection and Seedcare solutions.
The field day in Woodland focuses on breeding, genetics, and global trends across several featured crop portfolios including watermelon, hot peppers, melons, and onions.
Meanwhile, the field day in Plainfield will cover processing, fresh market, and integrated solutions across sweetcorn, beans, and diversified crops.
In recognition of the United Nations International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026, Syngenta wil also celebrate the contributions of women across the agricultural value chain as part of this year’s Future of Veg programme.
“At the heart of every field-ready innovation is strong collaboration with our customers,” said Ana Grau, Syngenta Vegetable Seeds marketing head, Najak & LatAm.
”Future of Veg creates the space for growers and partners from around the world to connect, exchange ideas, and help shape the future of vegetables together.”
