Dole Food Company has expanded its Chef-Ready Cuts range of prepared fruit with the addition of Gold pineapple spears.
Developed with convenience and versatility in mind, Dole said in a press release that the ready-to-use, bite-sized pineapple spears can enhance both hot and cold menu items – from grilled entrees and sides to salads, wraps and sandwiches to desserts and beverages.
The new pineapple offer is the seventh addition to the range and comes packed in 5lb, re-sealable pouches to save chefs time and labour when opening the bag.
According to Dole, the pineapple spears are 100 per cent real fruit and ready to place straight on a plate given that they are consistent in size and volume (2-1/2 inches, 75 count).
The Chef-Ready Cut line already includes mango cubes, pineapple cubes, diced peaches, diced strawberries, diced apples and sliced strawberries.
