Fresh Produce India 2012

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear from an impressive array of expert speakers on the vibrant Indian fresh produce market at Fresh Produce India 2012.

This year’s event takes place on 25-27 March 2012 at the ITC Maratha, Mumbai, and will focus in great depth on the key developments and trends affecting trade in India and beyond.

Vivek Dhume, Future Freshfoods (India), director of India’s largest modern retail organisation the Future Group, will bring his 25 years’ experience in retail and the fresh produce business to bear on the topic of effective retail marketing.

Adbulatif Al-Ayoub from Bioconservacion SA (Spain), a world-leading producer of air purification systems for the preservation of fruit and vegetables in storage and transit, will discuss how such technologies can address the challenge of India’s post-harvest losses.

Food safety is an ongoing and important issue in any market, but particularly in India. Flavio Alzueta, marketing manager for GlobalGAP (Germany), will speak on the issue of working to harmonise GAP systems around the world and the growing importance of GlobalGAP standards in India and its emerging export markets of Russia and Asia.

Another equally impressive speaker is David Williams from the Office of Agriculture Affairs at the US Consulate Mumbai (India). David will offer insider knowledge on why the Indian market is becoming so important for US horticulture, where it's likely to go in the future and what the US government is doing to develop the market.

As well as benefiting from this wealth of insights, delegates will be given numerous opportunities for networking, in order to further their business prospects in India.

Register online before 24 February and save 20 per cent on the standard delegate fee.
