A second Lémo organic supermarket has opened in Paris, this one in the third arrondissement. Lémo forms part of the Biocoop cooperative of organic supermarkets, which groups together over 300 specialist organic shops in France.
According to FLD, the new store’s first day welcomed in 300 customers, and by the end of the day, the fruit and vegetables shelves were practically empty.
Out of 4,000 organic lines that the store stocks, 90 are fruits and vegetables. Lino Landau, who is responsible for fruit and vegetables at Lémo, is aiming to offer a diverse range sourced from France and Europe, as well as exotic fruits and some rarer selections such as parsnips and kohlrabi cabbages, FLD reported.
