The US-based brand’s latest innovation comes amid rapid growth that has seen the company surpass US$400m in annual sales and reach a US$1bn valuation
US-based snacking brand Fruitist has announced the launch of Fruitist Snack Cups, a grab-and-go solution designed to make fresh fruit ”as effortless and craveable as your favourite packaged snack, and healthier too”.
Each cup is filled with Fruitist’s premium blueberries, delivering what the group calls ”a unique experience in every bite”.
Fruitist highlighted that Snack Cups are designed for today’s fast-moving lifestyles, through a portable format that is seen as ”ideal for lunchboxes, gym bags, travel, or the office fridge”.
“People want tasty and nutritious snacks that fit their routines, so we created Snack Cups to meet them where they are,” said Steve Magami, co-founder and CEO of Fruitist.
“This isn’t just a new format; it’s a continuation of our commitment to make healthy snacking enjoyable and accessible everywhere.”
Snack Cups were first introduced earlier this year at Harvard Business School, where Magami spoke with MBA students about the importance of innovation in fresh food, demonstrating how formats like Snack Cups can make healthy choices more enjoyable and accessible for consumers on the go.
Since launching its first consumer products in 2020, Fruitist has staked its claim on ending what is calls ’berry roulette’ – the experience of unpredictable berries with inconsistent size, taste, and texture.
The launch comes amid Fruitist’s rapid growth in the fresh snack category.
The brand has become one of the fastest-growing CPG companies, recently surpassing US$400mn in annual sales, earning a spot on CNBC’s Disruptor 50, and surpassing a US$1bn valuation.
”Snack Cups represent the next step in Fruitist’s rapid expansion and mission of inspiring enjoyable and nutritious snacking,” the brand noted.
”Starting in September, they will be available to club stores, national and regional retailers, and gourmet food stores nationwide.”
Fruitist products are already on shelves at major retailers, including Whole Foods, Costco, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Sprouts, and Publix.
Today, the brand’s products are sold in 28 countries and over 12,500 retail locations.
