Producer of functional mushroom Lion’s Mane Urban Farm-It has rebranded as part of its move to scale UK production and strengthen domestic supply.

The new name, Urban Farm‑Produce (UFP), reflects the company’s shift from a grow‑your‑own brand into a vertically integrated supplier delivering consistent, organic Lion’s Mane at national scale.

The rebrand also includes a website relaunch to streamline trade ordering and highlight certifications including Soil Association Organic, Red Tractor and BRCGS.

It has been unveiled as the company prepares for major expansion across retail, foodservice and direct-to-consumer markets, after a retail first launching Lion’s Mane into Sainsbury’s and for which it earnt the retailer’s ‘’Best Newcomer 2025’ accolade.

“This rebrand marks a defining moment in our journey. What began as a mission to help people grow their own food has evolved into a commitment to reshape how functional, nutrient dense ingredients reach our plates,” said founder and CEO, Elliott Webb.

New product formats in the UK are due to launch in February, with further sites are already in planning to support long‑term national availability, the company confirmed.

To meet what it describes as “surging B2B demand”, UFP has begun construction of a second production facility at Redditch, significantly boosting capacity for both fresh and value‑added formats.

“Our mission is simple, to make functional, healthy foods accessible while supporting sustainable, UK-grown agriculture,” added Webb.

The company said it wants to replace reliance on imported Lion’s Mane with UK‑grown, which have a lower water footprint, to help provide its customers with reduced supply chain exposure.

The name change takes effect 23 January 2026.
