Refrigerated transport technology company also developing wireless, real-time monitoring systems to help fresh produce exporters go further
Refrigerated transport technology company Carrier Transicold says it has sold more than 25,000 of its OptimaLine containers, and in doing so has helped fresh produce exporters to reach markets further afield.
Combined with its active controlled atmosphere system EverFresh, the containers are designed to safeguard the quality of high-value perishables over longer voyages, improve supply chain resilience, and reduce energy consumption and costs.
This week, Carrier is at Intermodal Europe 2025 in Barcelona, where it will highlight its latest tech, with a focus on greater efficiency, sustainability, and reliability.
Also on display will be Carrier’s powerful Lynx Fleet platform, which allows for real-time monitoring of connected refrigeration systems from anywhere in the world.
A division called Carrier Ventures recently invested in Net Feasa, a pioneer in wireless IoT connectivity and vessel network technology.
Its Vessel Control Tower technology combines with Lynx Fleet to help shipping lines make faster, data-driven decisions that protect cargo, improve efficiency and reduce waste.
“Global shipping demands intelligent cold chain solutions that deliver advanced precision, enhanced control and consistent reliability to navigate the complexities of a rapidly evolving logistics landscape,” said Jean-Marie Carvalho, the group’s global container vice-president and general manager.
“With the combination of OptimaLine and EverFresh, we empower growers, exporters and shipping lines with greater operational flexibility and smarter cargo management, enabling them to power today’s cold chain with the technology of tomorrow.”
